Hello Ancona parents!
I’m thrilled to return to Ancona for school photos. Ancona students are a delight to photograph! Here are some details, and as always, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Picture Day FAQ:

What should my child wear? 
Photos be taken from the waist and and shoulders up. No need to worry about shoes!
Photos will be taken indoors, so no need to worry about layering up if it’s a chilly morning.
Try to avoid shirts with text or pictures on them. Your photos will turn out more timeless and classic, and the focus will be on your child’s face, instead of their clothing.
Please avoid neon green and orange, if possible, as they reflect unnatural color casts back on to the skin.

What else should I do to prepare? 
If your child wears glasses, please clean them in the morning so we can see their bright, sparkling eyes.
This sounds obvious, but please wipe your kiddos’ faces before dropping them off at school. Breakfast crumbs, eye boogers, etc. We will do our best to clean faces before the photos, too, but it definitely helps if you can take few swipes at it, too. :)

For little ones who might be shy about photos, prep them ahead of time by telling them a VERY SILLY LADY will be visiting Ancona and she is going to try to make you laugh. This gets some of the PreK kids curious and excited. :)

Will there be sibling photos?
There will not be sibling photos. If you would like your siblings photographed together, you are welcome to schedule a family session with me at Erielle Bakkum Photography. I do outdoor photos and photos at my studio in Pilsen.

Is there a re-take day?
Yes! Re-takes will be held on Friday, October 17th, for students who need a redo or who missed the first round.
Please note that if you choose to have your child's photo re-taken, you will not have access to the first round of photos.
