Viewing and Ordering Session FAQ


I am looking forward to our upcoming Viewing and Ordering Session! Just wanted to send some information to you regarding this session so you'll be prepared and know what to expect. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions I can answer for you!

What exactly is a "Viewing and Ordering Session”? Where is it?

It's just what it sounds like: a time for you to view the proofs from your photo session and purchase prints and products. You will view a short slideshow of your images, then we will work with you to narrow these down to the favorites you want to purchase. You will be able to look at samples of products as well as all pricing information, and you will place your order at this time.
Viewing and Ordering Sessions are held in your home! This is a service that I provide to need to hire a sitter or leave the comfort of your own home. I am also able to view your living space and provide suggestions for wall art, so you can see what things will look like on the walls before you purchase.

Who should attend this session?

Anyone who would like to purchase images from your session. Anyone needed to make a decision regarding purchases.  If both spouses cannot attend, please be sure that a budget has been decided ahead of time.

What if someone wants to order but can't make it that day?

We will do our best to find a time when everyone can come. If it is not possible for everyone to be there, I will set up a FaceTime or Skype call with out-of-town family members so that they can view the images and make their selections. 

Do you include digitals?

For every printed image purchased, I include the corresponding Web-sized Digital Image. High-Resolution Digitals are available for purchase for $150 each, with opportunities to earn more along the way.
High Resolution Digitals come with a print release, giving you the freedom to create prints. Web-sized Digitals are formatted for screen use (not for printing), have a discreet watermark of the studio logo, and do not include a print release. Web-sized digitals are ideal for social media, your digital archives, and any other screen use.

What do most people purchase?

Depending on the final number of favorite images, most clients purchase an album, a few pieces of wall art, and a handful of high resolution digitals. If you haven't done so already, head over to the Custom Artwork page to take a peek at some options. 

What can I expect to spend at the appointment?

As mentioned in the emails, typical sales range from $600 - $1800 or more.

When do I make payments?

Most clients pay the total at the time they place their order. You may opt to pay half when you place your order and half when you pick up your prints and products if you prefer. While we do accept credit cards and PayPal, the preferred method of payment is check or cash.

What if I can't decide?

We understand that you might want some more time to decide. Additional Viewing and Ordering appointments can be scheduled for $100.

When will my order be ready?

Print orders are normally ready for pick-up in 2-4 weeks (depending on the season). Albums, framed prints and other specialty products take 4-6 weeks. We will contact you when your order is complete and arrange a time for pick up!
